From Aberdeen:
We are less than an hour’s drive from Aberdeen International Airport, and only slightly further from the city’s centre. Head for the A944, staying on this road through the town of Alford until you reach the turn off on the left for the A97 towards Strathdon. When you see signs for “Lonach Hall” turn right up the small hill and keep left.

If travelling from the south:
Take the M90 towards Perth, continue to the A93 North following the Old Military Road through the picturesque roads of Glenshee and Braemar. Turn left after Balmoral Castle onto the B976, left again onto the A939, then right onto the A944 signposted for Strathdon. Drive through the village and after about half a mile on the left you will see the signpost “Steading Bar”. Take the left and drive up the small hill keeping left.
